To monitor video player performance in your browser application, install the New Relic video agent using npm or a JavaScript snippet.

## Prerequisites [#before-start]

Before installing the Streaming Video & Ads agent for Browser, verify your application meets these requirements:

## Install the agent [#install]

### Access New Relic

Go to **[one.newrelic.com](https://one.newrelic.com) > Integrations & Agents** and navigate to the integrations marketplace.

### Select Streaming Video & Ads

Search and select the **Streaming Video & Ads** tile.

### Select account

Select an **Account** from the dropdown and click **Continue**.

### Select platform

Select **Browser** and click **Continue**.

### Select video player

Select your video player and click **Continue**.

Install the video agent package manager for JavaScript applications.

Install the video agent by including a JavaScript code snippet in your application.

## Alternative: Guided install

Skip the manual steps above and use the guided installer. Click the **Guided install** button for the US region (default). If your organization is located in a different [data center region](https://docs.newrelic.com/docs/accounts/accounts-billing/account-setup/choose-your-data-center), select the guided install for your region.
